When trials and tribulations come your way it is an opportunity to build your expectation for the great things God is bringing into your life. I know it sounds a bit weird but its true. When trouble comes you can either crumble under the pressure and give up or you can learn from it and trust that God is going to bring you through greater than you were before.
Trust the process! The hard times truly do make you stronger. The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 23 V 5 ” You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” A thought hit me when I read that verse. Why would the enemy be there to begin with? The thing is the enemy is always around. God never said trouble wouldn’t come. In fact John 16:33 says”I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”He has already planned your victory. It is up to you now to either walk in defeat or walk in victory.
I have conditioned myself that when an issue arises I get excited to see how God is going to bring about my victory. I do not practice sorrow. I may get frustrated at times but at the end of the day my prayer is, God you already have the solution to this problem and I thank you! This is coming from someone who has dealt with depression for years. The key to overcoming depression is to have hope. So many times we put our hope in things that have the ability to fail us. As fragile as we are, that’s not good. Putting all your hope in a relationship, a career etc., will always drag us back to the the pit of depression. In Psalm 130:7 it says” Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.” Only God can promise us Unfailing Love. As Good of a person you may find, that person will never measure up to God.
Put your trust in God and allow him to lead you to your victory. !
