Inferiority Complex

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.”                      1 John 2 v 20

You were chosen for a specific purpose in further God’s Kingdom. Did you know that? That’s what it means to annointed. I have come to learn that God doesn’t choose things for you based on your comfort zone. Your purpose always stretches you past your comfort zone time and time again. We serve a big God, who tends to do things big. He gives us dreams that often seem unattainable according to the standards of our world. These dreams give some of us an Inferiority complex.

An Inferiority complex is defined as an unrealistic feeling of general inadequacy caused by actual or supposed inferiority in one sphere. The word in that definition that sticks out to me is unrealistic. It is unrealistic to think your dreams are unattainable when you serve a God that nothing is impossible for him. If he put it in your heart to accomplish believe he will supply all that you need to get there. All that he ask is that you simply believe.

The first example I want to use is the story of David and Goliath. David could have said, how can I beat Goliath. A simple man killing a giant, how could that be possible? But faith and But God. He believed in the God he served and he did it. A simple man slayed a giant with a little old stone.

I prayed to God many nights about my purpose and when he showed me, I was excited and scared at the same time. I said Lord tell me what I need to do to accomplish these goals. All I heard was “Trust me!”. I was honestly expecting him to show me a outline of how these things were going to come to pass. I expected him to say, so you need to go to this school for a couple years then work under these folks so that they can teach you, then you can branch out on your own. He said none of that.

I decided okay, he’s not saying anything because he expects me to know the path. So I went online looking for schools that had the major that would help me attain this dream and then I prayed again. Lord these are the schools I’ve found, which one should I chose? Silence. I said Lord why are you silent? Tell me what to do? Once again the response was Trust me!

Imagine that?  TRUST is all you need to accomplish your dreams. Trusting the Lord builds confidence within yourself. Trust gives boldness to take the first step. Trust builds relationships needed to get closer to your goals. Trust is all that you need. You were not made to feel inferior. If God put a dream on your heart that seems way out of your reach, trust that he will bring the tools needed to bring the dream true.

You are capable! You are smart enough! You have the resources needed! Your father loves you!
