It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
Think of a basketball player running up and down the court for four quarters, his body is probably aching, he’s tired, he’s thirsty, yet as they play no one looks angry. Well, unless the ref makes a bad call or something like that but otherwise they are quite happy on the court. They are happy because they anticipate a win, as Christians we already know we won so shouldn’t we be rejoicing every step of this race of life.
Rejoice during the good times and, though it may be hard, rejoice during the hard times. You know that whatever you are facing God already saw it coming and he already prepared a way out. God sees the beginning from the end, he is the author of our lives.
“You are strong enough, you are wise enough, you are talented, you are gifted, you are anointed, you are chosen….”
This is something that he had to push deep into me for me to understand. This journey has been hard, I have cried, I have screamed, I have literally lost my breath but still he gives me strength to press on.
I write this to encourage you to keep pressing on, you are almost through the storm. Know that even if there is no one physically around you, you are not alone. You do not run this race of life alone, God is ALWAYS by your side.
You may not feel him every step of the way but he is there. He has given you everything that you need to press on. You are strong enough, you are wise enough, you are talented, you are gifted, you are anointed, you are chosen.
Believe in the God that created you in the depths of your mother’s womb. He skillfully put you together, why would he take such meticulous time with you to leave you by yourself. Would you leave your most prized possession in the open for anyone to take? No right, you are God’s prized possession. You are his and he is yours.
Lord surround the broken with your love. Father overwhelm us with your peace and joy. We need you today and every remaining day of our lives. You are our hope and we look only to you for answers. Lord speak, your servants are listening. Cover us with your blood, give us your divine guidance and protection. Father you are worthy to be praised. Continue to hold our hands as we press on through this storm. You are Lord! You are our God!
In jesus name,
