11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
In this day and age where so many people are trying to gain success we have to learn to appreciate what make us unique to set us apart. It’s common for us to want to do what Jane doe did to gain her type of success but we rob God the opportunity to show up and show out in our lives.
We are made in our creator’s image, he did not make a mistake when he created you. TD Jakes said it best, “God does not create duplicates he only makes Originals.” There is so much about me that I used to hate. The fact that I’m not a social butterfly, I don’t have legions of friends, I am soft spoken and timid at times.
I have learned to change my perspective on how I view these qualities. I find value in the friends I do have and celebrate them. My voice may not be loud but my spirit is mighty, I may not command a room but my presence will be felt. I listen more than I speak and that’s a wonderful thing. I am set apart and I’m proud to be God’s creation.
While keeping humble, celebrate who you are. If you learn to appreciate your uniqueness it will pave the way towards your destiny. Be comfortable in your own skin. Celebrate who God made you to be. This society has created an image of a God that makes mistakes, he doesn’t. We have allowed our emotions to take over our common sense.
God is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, how could he have mistakenly placed you in the wrong body, how could he have set standards only to break them. We want to change things to fit with what we are feeling to satisfy our fleshly desires.
We came into this world with nothing wrong with us until we allowed ourselves to be controlled by societal viewpoints and people’s opinions of how we should be just because we are unique. Just because you are different someone places a label on you and you accept it.
Stop accepting labels, you are who you are created to be and don’t need to be labeled as anything other than God’s child. Follow your unique path with confidence!
God help us to accept who you made us to be. Help us to accept that you have set us apart and that were are made perfect in your image. Help us to find comfort in the uncomfortable and accept people around us for who they are. We are made in your image and that is the only label we need.
In the mighty name of Jesus
